Yes, I realize its been awhile since I have posted, I'm not even sure if anyone even reads my blog, but it has great self worth and lets you type and type what words cannot sometimes describe. As we grow older we seem to realize how we are as individuals, I'd say its apart of one of those "teenage years" things that we have to deal with. Well I have grown over these years, I have come to realize who I am as a daughter of God and as an individual. There are a couple of things I've come to conclude that have helped build the structure ME!
- The only opinions that should matter, are myself, the spirits, and my family. Of course I take into consideration those who are close with me, but ultimately I make decisions for myself, and what the best is for me. I should not let others words or comments hurt me in the inside and out, just to simply ignore them. The only person I can be is myself, and that is the best person I could ever be.
- Everyone in my life is either a reason, season or lifetime. In student council, a poem was shared with all of us that really made me think of the people in my life, and their purpose. I'll share it with you know, it's long, but worth it, so take a second and read ;)
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person. When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
- I cannot expect happiness to come in a little shiny box at a door, I have to create my own happiness and make the best of life's situations.
- Unfortunately, I cannot determine the future and what situations happen to me. Yet, that does not mean I have to let life go and give, I should keep trying.
- I should not let my insecurities bother me, yes, I am not the prettiest or richest, but that does not mean that I do not have my own divine beauty that shines beautifully and naturally on the inside and out, so some may be able to paint their beauty, but mine shines throughout me. The best make up I can wear is a smile. :)
- All my dreams and imaginations are possible, and only I am the determiner of how they come to be.
- Trials, sadness, bad days, tears, fights, arguments, anger, they DONT last forever, all it means is a stumble you have on your journey and they best you can do is try to smile and say to myself is that things will get better, and I have a heavenly father always watching me who can always help me in my time of need.
- I REFUSE to sink. I will not the adversary get in my way, I AM a daughter of God, who has a plan for me and I try my best to continues on the best on righteousness. I REFUSE to let other opinions or words let me down. I REFUSE to let trials get the best of me. I WILL stay face forward, with a SMILE, and know that this is my life, and this is who I am, because I REFUSE to sink.
